EVENTS

We are a socially active group and enjoy getting to know like-minded people better.  Some of us are originally northern transplants to Florida looking for a "community" to be part of.  Others are native Floridians looking for a stronger sense of community.  Please attend a meeting or one of our monthly Humanist Happy Hours!

Sign up for our Mailing List to receive notifications and Zoom meeting login info.  Potential new members are more than welcome to attend meetings to see what our group is about.

See our Upcoming Event List below, which is also posted on Meetup and our public Facebook page.

  • May 19, 2024, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
PopStroke, 11070 SW Village Pkwy, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987, USA
Join us for this month's happy hour at PopStroke in Tradition! Older kids will love the mini-putt. Littles have access to a great playground right next to the bar! ;) Come out and socialize with fellow atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers and watch the kids play. Good food and craft ice cream!

Our upcoming Events are below.  Our Sunday meetings can be attended in person or via Zoom.

MEETINGS

The highlight of our program is our Sunday Program Meetings at the Nexus Building in Stuart (10:30am to ~12pm).  These meetings can be attended in person or via Zoom.  We have regular guest speakers and a formal presentation on a different topic each week.

We also have a weekly Wednesday Virtual Happy Hour at 7pm on Zoom.  Feel free to enjoy your adult beverage while we discuss open topics of interest!

And we have a monthly in person meeting in Vero Beach at the Unitarian Universalist Church library on the 2nd Monday each month at 12:30pm.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

We work very hard to publish our free monthly newsletter.  Each new issue contains all the news of the month as well as interesting articles.

Sign up for our Mailing List in order to receive it via email each month.

CHAPLAIN SERVICES

Our Humanist Chaplains/Celebrants perform many of the same functions as religious ones do for our members such as Weddings, Funerals, Child Welcoming's, Invocations, etc.  They also do volunteer work with local hospitals, hospices, schools, prisons and more.  If you would like to speak with one of our Chaplains/Celebrants they are always available to help.

For information please contact Bill Smithson.

COMMUNITY ACTIVISM

While our status as a non-profit means we must remain a-political, we do strongly advocate for humanist issues such as women's reproductive rights, Black Lives Matter, LBGT rights, public education, protecting the environment, protecting our democracy, and more.  We attend protests, volunteer at local charities, attend local school board and government meetings to ensure the rights of the non-religious are protected.
